Hollister, California is a real town that has been around since the 1870s. Unlike the fictional town created by a corporate clothing company, Hollister is no where near a beach. The town is about 45 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. Seagulls occasionally make their way over the mountains. Hopefully, they are able to find their way back.

I love those old buildings! The fact that someone took the time to mold the scroll detail..those ancient windows..I guess the older I get the more I appreciate craftsmanship that's no longer considered important. Also makes me wonder about the origin of Hollister.
ReplyDeleteL.D., same here. For a couple years I had the fortune to live in one of those brown-bricked apartment buildings in San Francisco, complete with a Murphy Bed and french doors. I was in Heaven!
