I spy with my little eye a blimp going across the sky.
That was yesterday afternoon. Actually the Husband and I heard it before we saw it and then it took me awhile before I thought about getting my camera. Better late then never.
Hollister, California is a real town that has been around since the 1870s. Unlike the fictional town created by a corporate clothing company, Hollister is no where near a beach. The town is about 45 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. Seagulls occasionally make their way over the mountains. Hopefully, they are able to find their way back.
It's been awhile since I've seen one but I know they have them at the Badger football games. I should look up more often. Have forgotten what they sound like.
ReplyDeleteI wondered where it was traveling to. Couldn't find any mention of its route that day.
DeleteWhat a great photo . . . Blimps . . what a nifty thought.
ReplyDeleteI imagine the passengers walking on tippy toe, almost floating, when they must walk as the blimp travels onward.
