Hollister, California is a real town that has been around since the 1870s. Unlike the fictional town created by a corporate clothing company, Hollister is no where near a beach. The town is about 45 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. Seagulls occasionally make their way over the mountains. Hopefully, they are able to find their way back.

Sunset Over Muenzer's
This photo was taken back in June, after the Saddle Horse Show and Rodeo Parade. You're looking at the back door of Muenzer's.
Anybody know what alley this is? And, what business's back door is across from Muenzer's?
Okay, for you young oldsters out there: Who remembers what used to be where Muenzer's is today?

I love the way you feature sites in your home town. Here in Oro Valley, there is one place that I need to photograph. It will be called "Sunset over the giant honking water holding tank that sits right next to a lovely tract of southwest style homes."
ReplyDeleteToo funny, Judie. Still, you've caught my imagination. I'd like to see a photo of that.
ReplyDeleteSorry it took me so long to notice your comment.
