It doesn't take much to scare me. This tree's scars, for instance. Sure, I stopped and took a photo. But, it was in broad daylight and the husband was with me. Where is this tree? In the neighborhood on the southwest side of Park Hill.
Hollister, California is a real town that has been around since the 1870s. Unlike the fictional town created by a corporate clothing company, Hollister is no where near a beach. The town is about 45 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. Seagulls occasionally make their way over the mountains. Hopefully, they are able to find their way back.

I almost jumped! I saw two weird animal faces stuck in the trunk. Is Scary Tree well known in Hollister?
ReplyDeleteoceangirl, those faces struck me too! I have no idea whether people know about this tree. It's in another part of town that we usually bicycle through now and then.
