Hollister, California is a real town that has been around since the 1870s. Unlike the fictional town created by a corporate clothing company, Hollister is no where near a beach. The town is about 45 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. Seagulls occasionally make their way over the mountains. Hopefully, they are able to find their way back.

Dandy, Delightful, and Delish!
Here's a dandy field of yellow mustard, near the corner of Union and Valley View Roads. A delight to the eye and nose. Also, delish to eat, sauteed in garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil.

Greyscale Territory, you bet. I am so glad we still have a few open fields around town.
ReplyDeleteCandace, did you notice the pink flowering trees way at the end?
Leslie, thank you. :-)
Roger, I don't know why I think the word mustard sounds like it should refer to the color tank-green and not yellow.
This yellow is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteCarola, we rode our bikes by the field yesterday, and the mustards were gone. All plowed under. I'm glad we'd pedaled by earlier this week.
