2015 Mexican Independence Day Parade

Last Sunday was the Mexican Independence Day Parade in Downtown Hollister. It was a fun, lively parade that honored the anniversary of Mexico's independence from Spain. The parade featured Mexican brass bands, caballeros, señoritas, traditional Aztec dancers, cute children, and more.  Here are a few photos from Sunday's parade.

    1. Thanks, Betsy. That little boy had the biggest grin. I think a lot of folks were going "ahhhh" along the parade when he passed by.

  4. The costumes are amazing. What a wonderful proud heritage! The little pony carrying a boy and pulling a man in a wagon has a mighty big a load. Another little boy on a big white horse seems to be having the time of his life!

    1. I felt sorry for the little pony. At first, I thought the pony was doing some tricks, but it was doing its hardest to get momentum to go forward.

    1. This parade grows bigger each year. I love seeing more kids, especially girls, riding the horses. I couldn't get over how some of the young ladies rode side saddle.
