This is how the sky looked earlier this week in Hollister, as we walked out of Safeway. I'd never seen such a sight. The photo doesn't do it justice at all.
I'm participating in Skywatch Friday. Click here to see photos from around the world.
Hollister, California is a real town that has been around since the 1870s. Unlike the fictional town created by a corporate clothing company, Hollister is no where near a beach. The town is about 45 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. Seagulls occasionally make their way over the mountains. Hopefully, they are able to find their way back.
Now that is a skywatch
ReplyDeleteAll I needed was a bag of popcorn to munch as I watched it go by. :-)
DeleteVery interesting clouds!
ReplyDeleteIt is often difficult to capture the light, but I can imagine
Have a wonderful week-end!

I was tempted to Photoshop it, and probably would've gotten the lighting. But, then it wouldn't have been what I saw and I'd think I was cheating somehow. :-)
DeleteIt is indeed amazing what we can be a witness to when we look up. Nice image. Have a blessed week-end.
ReplyDeleteThank you. :-)
DeleteWow... great capture!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThat is indeed an amazing sky!
ReplyDelete«Louis» thanks you for your visit to San Francisco Bay Daily Photo.
Here's a Packard «Louis» found in Hollister.
I like that ran through the alley to get a photo of the Packard. I must keep my eyes open for that one. In July, we have a street fair/car show in downtown. Lots of vintage cars, if you're interested in that.
DeleteImmediately I thought of a sky filled with fading angel wings. So very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI like your description -- "fading angel wings". Delightful.
DeleteGreat shot. We all need to stop and look up sometimes and see what we are missing :)
ReplyDeleteMost definitely. :-)
