R is for Rally

This July 5 and 6 is the 2013 Hollister Motorcycle Rally. Bikers will trek from all over the United States to take part in celebrating the birthplace of the American Biker. To learn more about the rally, please check out this post.

I'm going through the alphabet this month as part of the A to Z Blogging Challenge.  Click here to check out blogs by other A to Z participants.

  1. Hope the rally goes well, it's good to get out and about to see different events.

    1. I hope so, too, for the sake of the City's finances.

    Hi Su-sieee,
Thank you for commenting on my R-post for A to Z. You are first and get an etra link back to this blog post.

I see that Hollister, California is your theme. Is that where you live?

I have tried to keep a theme around my favourite things, but with my R-post I went out on a limb, not really knowing that much about Rosaries. You seem to be familiar with this form of prayer. But we can become blind to the familiar too. Making a theme of your home town is a way of seeing the familar with new eyes.

Have a good time with A to Z. We are heading down the home stretch now, to use a racing term!

    Best wishes,

    1. Hi, Anna, thanks for dropping by. Yep, Hollister is my home. :-)

  3. Love the references to your town. It looks awesome.

  4. My husband use to own a motorcycle and we LOVED going on big runs!! So wonderful!

    Peanut Butter and Whine

    1. The First Husband drove motorcycles and I sat behind him. He tried to teach me to drive a motorcycle, even bought me one but I couldn't get the hang of it. So, then he bought me a scooter and I zipped around very smart on that.

  5. I was involved in a serious motor bike accident when I was young. Of course what we did was not smart.
I am visiting from the A-Z challenge.
I enjoyed going through the A-Z’s tour of your town.
    The photos are great.
I want to come to Hollister :)
Thank you for stopping by my blog.

    1. We think we're so invincible when we're young. :-) Glad you enjoyed your virtual visit to Hollister.

  6. Hi Su'sieeee .. look at them - great machines in the right place ... cheers Hilary

  7. Ooh, I'd love to try riding a motorcycle someday...
