The five palm trees. I can see them from almost everywhere in downtown Hollister. One of these days, I'm going to find out who planted them and whether there was a reason for planting them. After all, palm trees aren't native to the area. Here's another view of the five palm trees.

There has to be some story that goes with the palm trees! What a sight! How can you find out?
ReplyDeleteProbably someone at the local historical society may know. A story to be told one day. :-)
DeleteI live in Seattle now, but I used to be a Bay Area girl, so I remember Hollister well.

Hello Nancy. I'm glad you stopped by. I hope you find some photos on the blog that bring back sweet memories.
DeleteHmm. I wonder :) let us know when you find out!
ReplyDeleteHappy A to Z!
I shall. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteLove seeing the trees and greenery. In Wisconsin the snow is still melting.
ReplyDeleteBrrr. Won't be long then. I hope that we'll get more rain soon. Would be nice to see the green last through May and maybe into June.
DeleteHow neat! Those palm trees must be tall, or very high up? Jealous of all your warm sunshine :-)
ReplyDeleteVery, very tall. The warm sunshine is nice, but would love some rain. Send yours over, if you have it.
Delete5 Palm trees? Maybe the lucky number for your place is 5 and the lucky tree is palm :P
