This is a common sight around Hollister and throughout San Benito County, come summer time. Would you say the hills are brown or golden?
Golden? Ah, you're a true Californian.
Someone once told me that he knows when strangers are Californians at heart. They get a blissful sound in their voice as they describe the golden hills of their home.
Today is the second week of the April A to Z Blogging Challenge. Would you like to check out other participants? Click here and enjoy.
I love this photo..it has all the rustic ambiance of a Steinbeck novel
ReplyDeleteThanks, Leslie. :-)
DeleteYes, I'd call them golden brown : )
ReplyDeleteAh, A California gal in Maui. I love it!
DeleteNice blog! I'm a California girl myself (before I moved to Texas 5 years ago), but a Southern California girl, so I haven't been through Hollister.
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing the town and reading through the A to Z posts. Upland (CA) also has a Carnegie Library. When I moved 5 yrs ago, they were renovating it for use.
Have a great day!

Thanks, Trisha. I'm glad you stopped by. :-)
DeleteThey are golden, just like the hills that surround us. This is a great blog. Thanks for stopping by my Completely California. I have joined yours. I like Hollister and now see that I should spend more time there on my next trip north.
