Hollister, California is a real town that has been around since the 1870s. Unlike the fictional town created by a corporate clothing company, Hollister is no where near a beach. The town is about 45 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. Seagulls occasionally make their way over the mountains. Hopefully, they are able to find their way back.

Swelling in Hot Weather
Monday afternoon got outrageously h-o-t! in Hollister—103 degrees! That's very unusual for us. Fortunately, the temps went down 10 degrees within the hour when the winds picked up. Also strange in my book.

By the way, here's my original photo:

Deleteoh my, it is really hot where you live. :) Bet you had lot´s of fun creating this piece :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been oddly hot and muggy lately. I see baby thunderheads in the sky but not enough of them to give us rain. Yes, I did have fun with this. It reminds me of old-time cartoons in which teapots sing and dance. haha
DeleteThe ballooning effect in the edit creates an image that is worthy of a setting in a sci-fi movie.
ReplyDeleteThe building sure does look unbearably hot in the first photo!
ReplyDeleteAs hot as I felt that day. lol
DeleteGreat edit!
